I previously posted about the FRB200 when it was on sale for $389 from Walmart. This deal from Home Depot is $30 cheaper and offer the same free site to store shipping. Home Depot originally charged $398 dollars for this unit. The deal is good until April 29th, 2015.
Igloo isn’t a top of the line brand, but it gets the job done for most people at a darn cheap price. Even after tax, you are looking at spending less than $400 shipped on a full-sized stainless steel kegerator.

Advantages of Buying from Home Depot
Home Depot is quickly becoming the market leader in low-cost kegerators. Walmart long held this title, but Walmart seems to have many more issues with their supply chain. This statement might boggle the mind of the casual observer, but I assure you it is true. My favorite aspect of buying a kegerator from a big box store is free site to store shipping. Not only does this save $100 in shipping costs. It allows you to fully inspect the unit before taking it out of the store. Heck, I’m pretty sure the folks at Home Depot would even let you plug it in. Home Depot also allows returns for up to 90 days. Returning a kegerator to an online store can be an expensive headache. If they label the purchase buyers remorse, you are likely going to have to pay both a 15% restocking fee and return shipping of over $100. God help you if you happened to throw out the box. That can add another $70. It isn’t uncommon to forfeit almost half the original purchase price for trying to return a bad purchase. This can leave a real sting to men of normal budgets.

In my humble opinion, the Igloo FRB200 is a great looking kegerator for the price. Sure, it has the cheaper door only stainless steel. It also has the cheaper drip tray that is merely a piece of plastic that can hold a few drops of beer. The reality is there are plenty of kegerators that cost twice as much with the exact same features. This a great unit to put in your game room to drink cold beer on game day at an affordable price. I personally like the appearance of the black tower. The chrome ones are nice too, but the contrast of the black tower against the stainless steel door is particularly nice.
If you aren’t sold on the merits of the FRB200, I recommend taking a look at our cheap kegerator review page. It has quite a few other options at an affordable price. Danby kegerators aren’t usually as cheap as the FRB200, but they are still a great bargain. I like that Danby units offer a large capacity, 5lb CO2 tank, and automatic defrost for less than $500.
